| Tis the Season.. |
A fresh breeze whines in the rigging as we sit below listening to carols. The lantern cast a warm glow about the saloon just as fireplaces of Christmas’ past once did back home. The cabin fills with the aroma of fresh baking bread. Presents are wrapped, decorations are hung and our Christmas spirit is on the rise even here in this tropical island setting. This will be our first Christmas Day spent without the kids. This would be most depressing if not for our good fortune of all being together, here in Key West, on January 3rd. Can’t wait to see them!
We received word of the heavy snows back in York and can’t help but fondly remember the fun such snows can bring. Somehow, when you’re raised in the north, cold snowy weather and Christmas just go hand in hand. For now we’ll just close our eyes and envision a “winter wonderland”. Then, when that thought passes, we’ll return to our tropical Christmas with reggae carols, gaily lit palm trees and beautiful outdoor poinsettias’.
“Tis the season” for family, friends and good cheer! We are with you all in spirit and hope that, one day soon, our paths will cross allowing us the opportunity to add to the “memory pool” yet again.
May yours be a Happy, Healthy and very Merry Christmas!
